In keeping with our theme of holistic wellness for women, our massage therapists are specifically trained in working on pregnant and postpartum bodies. They work in tandem with your chiropractic doctor to complement your adjustments for the maximum healing effect.

Krista Kahmann

Krista graduated from National Holistic Institute in 2008 from San Jose, California where she specialized in Deep Tissue and Sports Massage.

After becoming a mother and experiencing firsthand the physical and emotional strain childbirth has on a body, she expanded her practice to specialize in pre and perinatal massage so that she can help women understand the importance of restoring balance in their bodies. In addition, Krista is a Certified Infant Massage Instructor, where she teaches parents how to massage their babies. She believes that that loving touch and the healing benefits of massage therapy should start at the beginning of a person's life.

Krista tailors each massage to meet the needs of her clients by incorporating multiple modalities including Trigger Point, Deep Tissue, Swedish, Myofascial Release, and cupping. Her goal is to help her clients restore balance and movement in their bodies and help women reconnect to themselves and their bodies during pregnancy and after giving birth.

Ultimately, Krista has a passion for helping women achieve balance and peace in their bodies so they can live to their fullest potential. In her free time, Krista enjoys playing volleyball, running, hiking, camping and traveling the world with her family!

Tanya Hladik

Tanya believes that human bodies move toward health and balance when we give them the right resources.  To help her clients achieve their healing goals, she draws upon whatever technique best suits the body she is working with.  Using massage modalities that range from subtle to deeper work, she believes in meeting clients where they are at and sculpting a care plan that will help their body heal, reduce pain and come back to balance.   Tanya’s bodywork is nurturing and intuitive, gentle but deep, using pressure that allows the body to relax while optimally unwinding patterns of tension and pain.  Her training background includes:

  • Deep tissue massage

  • Myofascial release

  • Craniosacral therapy

  • Love your Guts Abdominal massage

  • Bodywork for the Childbearing year

  • Certified Birth Doula through PALS Doulas

  • Reiki

  • Ortho-bionomy

  • Childbirth Education through Simkin School at Bastyr University

  • Birthing from within

As a doula and massage therapist, she loves working with expectant parents on the journey to meeting their new baby.  Helping them prepare physically, mentally and emotionally to move through the journey of birth into early parenthood. She believes it is equally important to nurture and care for women postpartum as they adjust to both the physical and emotional changes of caring for a new baby and healing from pregnancy and birth. Tanya is also a certified birth photographer through Birth Becomes You.  She loves capturing this amazing time through photos families can treasure for years to come.

Tanya grew up in Northwest Washington, next to the border.  She moved to Portland from Bellingham in 2020.  She has been a massage therapist & doula  since 2011, studying massage at Heartwood Institute in Northern California and New Mexico Academy of Healing Arts in Santa Fe, NM.
